Here is a disruption deck that I have come up with through necessity (i'm waiting for some other cards to make my number one deck). It has been exceptionally effective against any deck that relies on energy acceleration through abilities - eels, darkrai/hydreigon, mewtwo variants, ho-oh - but has struggled against empoleon and garchomp with their high damage for 1 energy. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Pokemon-
3 Garbodor - DRX
3 Trubbish - DRX
3 Sableye - DEX
1 Shaymin EX - NXD
1 Drifblim - DRX
1 Drifloon - DRX
Total: 12
Energy-
8 Dark
2 Grass
Total: 10
T/S/S-
4 N
4 Cheren
1 Bianca
2 Random Receiver
3 Level Ball
2 Ultra Ball
1 Skyarrow Bridge
4 Switch
2 Pokemon Catcher
2 Super Rod
4 Crushing Hammer
2 Enhanced Hammer
4 Rescue Scarf
3 Big Cape
Strategy:
Early to mid game: Get Garbodor up on T2 if possible to activate ability lock. Use Sableye to speed set up, junk hunting to retrieve used items from the discard pile. Use crushing and enhanced hammers to knock off the opponent's energy, which, without abilities, they will have to attach one at a time. Keep cycling through the hammers with sableye until they are as close to devoid of energy as possible.
End Game:
There are three end game options for this deck, once you have messed up the opponent's capacity to set up. Drifblim can be used to sweep if your opponent has special energy in the discard pile, which enhanced hammer should see to (Drifblim's attack costs one energy and does 50 damage times SE in the opponent's discard).
If the opponent managed to take a few prizes, Shaymin EX can be used to sweep for huge damage with revenge blast. If you have completely messed up the opponent to the extent that they can't get any more energy in play, you can just stall them to death, using Junk Hunt to continually retrieve items and holding onto an N so you don't deck out.
PS i was considering using Emolga to aid a quick setup, but i seem to have no trouble getting 2 trubbish and 2 sableye early game 90% of the time. Certainly worth thinking about though...
The deck is by no means tier one, but it can be a serious thorn in the side of some of the format's most powerful decks.
