Strategy:

So this is my deck I have no clue if its good or not as I am still very much a noob to the TCG side of pokemon

I like dark/fighting type pokemon so I went through and found ones I had that fit the Bill and seemed to have nice Damage/abilities.

My whole Deal IS with the strong energies/focus band I need to get either a garchomp/Regirock going and have pangoro back them up with his parting shot.

my mightyena Is meant to be a stall with his energy removal to buy me time with getting my previously mentioned setup going.

I have encountered several problems with my deck so far though.

Often It seems like I have issues getting my families going. Sometimes I'll have the stage 1 and 2's but cant draw the basic Pokemon or draw my brigette to get my basic pokemon onto my bench.

Other times Ill have all of my basic Pokemon but cant draw my stage 1 or 2's.

I've tried to work for consistency but admittedly I have no clue how to at this point

And please if this is a terrible deck in the first place let me know Ill make a different one lol

Hi @mrbadatthis

In combining different type Pokémon into a single deck, one needs, IMO, analyze and question the possible synergy between the Pokémon used. If there is "little", then you'll have a potentially"weaker" deck versus a deck with Pokémon that do have a great deal of synergy. Take under consideration Garchomp. This is a Fighting Pokémon; there are other solid Fighting Pokémon (Hawlucha, Lucario EX, etc.; and there are very good supporting cards (Fighting Stadium, Scorched Earth, Korrina, Strong energy, etc.) dedicated to just Fighting Pokémon.

Consider building a deck around a core of just Fighting Pokémon consisting of:

4 Garchomp
2 Gabite
4 Gibble
2 Hawlucha (FFI)
2 Lucario EX
By keeping your deck "focused," you will not need different types of energy, extra Trainers to search and get non-Fighting Pokémon, less time to power-up your attackers, etc. This results in a stronger deck typically.

Also, peruse the decks in the Deck Garage Forum; hopefully, you will find a few Garchomp examples. In any case, carefully review how the decks are constructed, as well as their "focus" to their respective game strategy.

I hope you find these comments helpful.

Too much energy and Pokémon, not enough trainers.
An hat you want to do is focus on a single strategy.
Garchomp itself is a good deck you can make so focus on him.
Then cut out energy like the dark and dangerous.
Search up decks based on Garchomp breakpoint and compare decklists and come to a conclusion.
And lastly: You could PM for more info

Thanks for the tips I noticed M Lucario wasn't in your list? Is he better suited for a different kind of deck ?

Yes, IMO, a very different deck structure would be better suited for M Lucario EX deck. In addition to @TheSceptileMaster comments, Lucario EX's attacks (especially the first 2), IMO, are far more useful and versatile than M Lucario EX's sole attack.
