OK So guys, i'm a little confused with this.

garchompmtscan.jpg

Lets just say, i have an active garchomp in play. With 3 Water energies. The defending Pokemon is a Magmotar Lv.X.

So the Damage will be like,

70 x 2, + 40 = 180 DMG right?

So What if i had a Lake Boundary in play? would that mean that it is 180 x 2 = 360 DMG?

I'm a little confused.

Please clarify my thoughts.

thanks in advance.

yes it would work but you dont add on an additional 40 for each energy that there weak to so the max damage yuo could do would be 110 or if they have weakness it would be 220.

You're absolutely wrong.

Lake Boundary changes Magmortar's weakness to Water to X2, you got that right. HOWEVER.

Water Energy does NOT make Garchomp of the Water type. It just adds 40 damage to his blows to Magmortar, because Garchomp's Body adds the 40 damage for the Water energy. There is no calculation of Weakness and Resistance here. Because of this, Lake Boundary does not affect the damage done by Garchomp's Poke-body.

it does 110 because it doesnt stack for the amount of energies u have on garchomp that are weakness to your opponent's pokemon sooo unless the opponent has weakness to coulourless it does 220DMG
