Ruling Garchomp

The answer is probably pretty obvious.. but I just wanted to make sure.

If a pokemon could get rid of it's weakness, does Garchomps "Rainbow Scale" Poke-Body still apply?

Like if my opponent had Leafeon as active, and Umbreon (MD) on their bench. And I attack with Garchomp with a fire energy. Does it do 110 or does it do 70 because Umbreon gets rid of it's weakness?

The weakness is removed, so the body has no chance of activating (since theres no basic energy to match no weakness).

Garchomps Rainbow Scale says that if the defending pokemon has weakness to any types of energy attacked to Garchomp his attacks do 40 more but since there is no weakness on Leafeon it would only do 70.

Edit: Dang Papi beat me to it :(

The key thing here is Umbreon's text: "Each of your Pokemon that evolves from Eevee has no Weakness".

Not "has its Weakness changed to zero", but "no Weakness". It is considered absent from the card as long as Umbreon's effect remains.

So, since the card no longer has a Weakness, there is nothing for Rainbow Scale to match to do its bonus damage.
