Standard Garde-Tales

My son has been playing Gardevoir for a while, so with Harrogate Regionals around the corner I think we're going to tweak that rather than start afresh. Think it's more the player than the deck in Juniors, not that he's the best, but holds his own.

Based on Joe Bernard/Omnipoke's DeciTales list, then:

2-2 Vulpix/Fairy Ninetales-GX
4-1-3 Ralts/Kirlia/Gardevoir GX
2-0-2 Mudkip/Swampert
2 Lele GX

4 Rare Candy
4 Ultra Ball
3 Nest Ball
2 Timer Ball
1 Switch

1 Counter Gain
2 Choice Helmet
2 Brooklet Hill

2 Steven's Resolve
4 Cynthia
3 Acerola
2 Guzma
1 Volkner
1 Gladion

3 DCE
6 Fairy
1 Super Boost Energy

Steven's Resolve to try to guarantee T2 evolves, as less need for Elm to get lots of Decidueye in the template list. Volkner is always useful to get R.C./'Ball' if required. Choice Helmet/Acerola/Fewer energy for a more "Don't get knocked out" strategy (but got SBE if get Swampert + 2 Garde out). Switch for if Swampert gets put in the active. Counter Gain for Ninetales GX (particularly to use GX attack vs Blacephalon/Buzz GX). Gladion to get 1-of's, such as SBE, Counter Gain and Switch, or key cards like DCE or Guzma.

Swampert (SBE) and Ninetales's GX attack vs Blacephalon.

Other considerations: Ditto (instead of 1 Vulpix)/Machoke (for vs Spread) as no other specific techs, Pal Pad, Super Scoop Up, Counter Catcher.

Thanks in advance.

Machoke maybe a good idea, that nullifies Buzzwoles/tapu koko and Decidueye's ability for bench damage. I would keep the Vulpix and get rid of a Ralts. Vulpix IMO has more value then a Ralts, your also running a Brooklet hill so it's easier to lose one in combat then a Ralts.

Also your opponent will most likely know your strat and will go for your vulpix first in order to stop you from using ninetales ability, after that(if your only playing 1 Vulpix) you'll either need to sacrifice your Machoke or Ninetales ability when playing Ditto prism star.

@Fafnirchaos, noted re Vulpix/Ralts/Ditto, thanks.
