RE: Flygon Freeze Bolt & Cold Flare Deck

I'm going to work under the assumption that this is meant to be BW-on format.

You definitely want some Professor Junipers in here, having 3 N as your only hand refresh is really going to slow this deck down. Also not sure what Cinccino is doing in here, you want to keep Flygon active at all times, maybe a 2-2 Altaria line would be better as a bench tech. Granted having bench techs, especially when they only have 70hp is just asking to be catcher/KO'd. Tornadus can stay as he is a great energy circulator since you are using 2 different types of energy, but without a stadium, Tornadus EX doesn't really do anything more than Tornadus besides lose on the prize trades. Maybe buff up the Flygon line to a 4-2-4 to increase your odds of starting with one.

So in summary:

-2 Switch (not sure who these are for, 1 star retreats on everyone and when someone you battle plays Skyarrow Tornadus gets free retreat)
-3 Super Rod (Not necessary when you are also running 4 Energy Retrievals)
-2-2 Cincinno
-1 Tornadus EX
-10

+1-0-1 Flygon
+2-2 Altaria
+3 Juniper
+1 Double Colorless
+10

Hope this helps.

RE: Flygon Freeze Bolt & Cold Flare Deck

Thanks man, what Altaria are you addressing though? The one that has the Water/Metal energy? So would my friend just have 2 Altaria's camping in a bench not doing anything or do you mean a different card?

RE: Flygon Freeze Bolt & Cold Flare Deck

Ah yes, the dragon type Altaria from Dragon Blade. And yes, that's exactly what this new Altaria would do, not to mention allowing your Flygon to hit a potential 100-120 without any plus powers, enabling it to OHKO the upcoming Rayquaza EX, granted Rayquaza EX can just one shot him in return with a lot less set up hassle, but were trying to make Flygon great here.

Bump.

Dropped the Flygon line replaced with Garchomp line and changed a few other things.

Let us know what you guys think, thanks.

If this is BW on energy retrival couldn't be played.you could also get 1 or 2 level ball to get altaria easier. I am also planning to get this deck. I want to play a 3-3 altaria line because with 2 altaria I can just 2HKO mewtwo using only 1 energy while discarding a DCE on mewtwo. Maybe you won't need tornadus because you can OHKO terrakion with garchomp's second attack if altaria is on your bench.

-4 retrieval
-2 tornadus

+1-1 altaria
+1 juniper
+2 level ball
+1 super rod

Energy Retrieval came out in BW set, its legal in a BW-on format.
