Pokemon Gen3&4>Gen1

Nah, but I'll simply have to disagree. You have to consider that Generation 1 was the first, meaning that everything was from scratch. There was no storyline to copy across the board, and no syntax to follow. Everything was original.

Considering that, I think they did a fine job with the first gen, and not only was the anime better but at the time it was bigger. Not that it makes it better.
 
There may be technical and visual limitations to the pokemon and gameplay, but I'm sure you'd agree that there were no creative limitations. The new pokemon are soo much better and more creative than the First Gen Pokemon. This is only an opinion, but come on. THREE Pokemon that are their pre-vo with three heads?
 
I think that's a very bold opinion. What do you mean by 'better'? There are plenty of Pokemon in the first Gen that are just as strong as those in the others; and I think that after 300+ Pokemon were created, they were forced to get more creative. To the obscurity point, for some.

I don't really know if you're making valid arguments for your claim...
 
All of the regions are equal, IMO... Except Johto which pwnd.

I'm fairly certain that they would want to start at a more conservative standpoint because people might not be able to get the idea when it came out.
 
I really like Gen 4, maybe it's my favorite generation... I agree about the 4th gen pokémon being better in terms of visual... The Dragon trio are probably the coolest looking legendaries...
