Ruling Gengar DP + Double Rainbow Energy?

OK this is simple i hope

If i attatch a DRE to Gengar DP and use its second attack which allows you to put 4 damage counters as you like on the opponents pokemon, so does that still mean i -10 damage because of the effect of DRE or since i'm not technically doing damage does it apply? and if so how do i subtract the -10?

You will still be able to put 4 damage counters because you are not inflicting any damage to the Pokemon.

Pokemonmaster is right. Double rainbow is for an attack that actually does damage, not placing damage counters. So of course, it would still be 4 damage counters.
