Ruling Gengar-EX & Sigilyph

Hi Guys, Im just wondering:

If I use Gengar EX's Dark Corridor attack, can I switch for a Sigilyph from LT?

My thinking is that the effect of the Gengar is on gengar himself and wouldn't violate Sigilyphs ability. On the other hand, If the effect is on sigilyph and not gengar, then the switch would be blocked...

I may have solved it from an old BW compendium Entry:

"Q. If I use Kyogre EX's "Smash Turn" or Celebi EX's "Wind Whisk" attack, can I switch it with my benched Sigilyph that has the "Safeguard" Ability?
A. Since the attacking Pokemon is the target of the switch effect, Sigilyph can be moved in this situation. (Jan 31, 2013 TPCi Rules Team)"
