I have a few rare rated base, base 2, jungle and team rocket cards that not holographic but pass all the other tests that are online that would prove that they were fake. I even have two versions of a card one holographic and the other not but are identical apart from the the obvious did the make non holo version of rare cards or are they misprint or fakes? I cant find any info online all i find are links to buy the holo version of the cards im looking up or vaule ratings and such or is it im not looking hard enough or in the wrongs places?...

There were indeed both holo and non-holo versions of certain cards printed in some of the earlier WotC earlier sets, though they have different numbers. For example, in the Jungle set, Holo Clefable was 1/64, but Non-Holo Clefable was 17/64.

That said, if you want to help us with your particular cards, you're going to have to post photos or scans of the cards in question, otherwise there's not much we'll be able to do to help you.

Depends on where you live and what kind of cards you're looking for. I prefer to buy from/trade with other collectors, personally. I don't really buy many English cards these days, but when I did, I preferred Collector's Cache for online purchases in the US; in Europe, Chaos Cards (UK based).

Thanks Im in the Uk so I'll try chaos card im new to this collecting. All the current cards I took out of storage from when I bought them as a kids during the 1st genreration pokemon craze lol aslo whats your reasoning for not buying english cards if you dont mind me asking?

I prefer Japanese cards, personally. They're cheaper, with better pull rates, and much higher quality than modern English cards. Unfortunately, quality control for English printed cards is very low these days, so there are lots of mistakes, misprints/miscuts, cards coming out of packs damaged, etc. Since I'm just a collector, the fact that I can't use Japanese cards for play doesn't matter at all to me, and everything else is a bonus.
