Ruling Ghost Head v. Rough Skin

If I have a Banette that uses "Ghost Head" aganist Sharpedo that has "Rough Skin", would I take 2 damage counters?

I would say "no" because it says from damage and "Ghost Head" places damage counters which is an effect of an attack. I just wanted to clarify this as it appeared in one of my battles.

Let me try to deduce this from what I know.
Unown G blocks everything but damage. It has already been established multiple times that Unown G blocks Ghost Head too, in a same way it blocks other damage counter moves (like Gallade's 1st attack).
Therefore, Ghost Head's effect is not damage.
Sharpedo's Body only works when it is damaged. But since Ghost Head can't be considered as damage, Sharpedo's Body would fail to activate.
