Hi all

Been working on this deck for the upcoming rotation and this is where I am. Would really appreciate any feedback.

Pokemon: (18)
  • 4 Giratina EX OR
  • 2 Hydreigon EX
  • 2 Oddish OR
  • 2 Gloom OR
  • 2 Vileplume OR (I feel a 2-2-2 line is enough unless someone can explain why this is a bad idea?!)
  • 2 Shaymin Ex RS
  • 1 Hoopa Ex OR (Love this card, can get Giratina, Shaymin and one other in one swoop)
  • 3 Unown OR
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: (32)
  • 3 Level Ball
  • 4 Ultra Ball
  • 2 Switch
  • 2 Trainers' Mail (Not convinced by this)
  • 3 VS Seeker (Not convinced by this either)
  • 3 Muscle Band (Turns Chaos Wheel into a 2HKO for megas (except Wailord), etc.)
  • 2 AZ (For scooping Vileplume if needed or clearing up other things)
  • 2 Lysandre
  • 3 Professor Birch"s Observations
  • 4 Professor Sycamore
  • 4 Forest of Giant Plants
Energy: (10)
  • 4 DCE
  • 4 Double Dragon Energy
  • 1 Psychic Energy
  • 1 Grass Energy
Strategy:

The aim is to get Giratina as the active attacker and Vileplume set up on the bench for the item lock. Then get Chaos Wheeling ASAP to lock down even more. Rinse and repeat.

The deck has worked pretty well so far but there are a number of cards (marked above) that I remain unconvinced about. Would be great to hear what you would tweek! Thanks.

I'm mixed on trainers mail. Can fish out gfp ends up being a dead card most likely. With such few good draw supporters after rotation I'm beginning to feel like items are to necessary to lock out your own

I agree - it is useful that it can fish out a Forest of Giant Plants but quite often you do just get rubbish from it.
I'm not too fussed about it locking my own items - you tend to get a muscle band out on the first turn and, once the lock is up, you can always AZ up the Vileplume, play your item cards and then slap Vileplume back down. (This is why I'm unsure about the VS seekers - you'd only use them in this scenario really to then recover the AZ on the same turn).
