Ruling Glaceon MD/Raichu MD question

Both MD Glaceon and MD Raichu have moves that state:

"Flip a coin. If heads, prevent all effects of attack, including damage, done to glaceon/raichu during your opponents next turn."

My question is if you were playing an MD Empoleon (or anything that does direct damage, or damage done to the opponents bench) and used empoleons attack that directs 30 damage to two pokemon, would the attack be cancelled by glaceon/raichu's attack ability (assuming it was used and a heads was flipped), or would it bypass it because the pokemon that is taking damage is not glaceon/raichu?

The attack states: "Prevent all effects of an attack, including damage, done to Glaceon/Raichu during your opponent's next turn.

If you attacked the Glaceon/Raichu and did direct damage, it wouldn't do a thing. But if you sniped the bench, it does damage.

If you place Damage Counters (not a direct attack), you would do the damage; Dusknoir for example.

If you use Warp Point and they bring up another Glaceon/Raichu, you can still do damage because that is not the same pokemon.

Question answered?

The Damage counter thing is incorrect, it's still an effect of an attack, which is prevented. Pokepowers that damage are not prevented however.

Ok, sorry I just realized that lol. But Pokepowers aren't an attack...it says "Prevent all effects of an attack".
