Yo guys, how's it going? So I have amassed a deck list for Glalie EX, one of my personal favorite cards from the new BREAKthrough set. Bare in mind this deck is in the testing phase and I'm still working out the kinks.
Pokemon: 14
  • 4-3 M Glalie EX
  • 1 Lugia EX
  • 2-2 Octillery
  • 1-1 Ariados
Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 33
  • 4 Professor Sycamore
  • 3 Judge
  • 3 Professor Birch's Observations
  • 2 Lysandre
  • 1 Archie's Ace in the Hole
  • 1 Giovanni
  • 3 Ultra Ball
  • 1 Dive Ball
  • 3 Glalie Spirit Link
  • 3 Mega Turbo
  • 3 Shrine of Memories
  • 3 VS Seeker
  • 2 Switch
  • 1 Professor's Letter
Energy: 13
  • 9 Water Energy
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
Strategy:

The basic idea of this deck is to tank your opponent's attacks with Mega Glalie. At 220 hp, Glalie stands more of a chance of capitalizing on it's attack requirements. Using Shrine of Memories and Judge (and/or careful hand management), you use base Glalie's Instant Freeze through the Shrine to deal huge hits on your opponent. Or clean up with Cryomouth once you have the necessary damage. Using Birch and Octillery may also help in equating your hand to your opponent while granting fairly good deck and draw support. Mega Turbo is of course your Energy acceleration; both of Glalie's attacks require a Water Energy and a DCE, so it's easy to shoot off either one. No matter what you do, you're dealing a pretty good amount of damage. Lugia EX is here for a bit of insurance as a cheap but powerful attacker. And who doesn't love Lugia? Ariados is in no way necessary for this deck but he's fun to use with Glalie since in some cases you want self damage, and the poison can aid in some KOs where your attacks barely miss the magic number.

So far, this deck is showing potential. It's at least a fun deck to play. Plus I like using underrated cards just to prove people wrong lol. Anyways, are there any comments or suggestions that anyone thinks may help push Glalie to the max?
