Hello Guys..

I have a question here..
I'm planing to go to National championship, but I'm not citizen where National championship held.. can I win National championship there and get ticket to world?!

the reason I ask this because, I'm Indonesian and there are no National Championship in Indonesia, and Tcpi didn't support Indonesia (I don't know why, my request always rejected :smashcomp )
I really want go to world, but I'm not came from rich family so I cannot afford the ticket to go there.. so the only way to go to world by winning National Championship.

I'm planing to go to Malaysia National championship (next year maybe), but I saw this :

is this really true??! I cannot get the reward (ticket to world) even I won Malaysia National Championship because I'm not a citizen??!!
I'm really mad because of this, and if it is true, I think this is the end of my Pokemon TCG carrier, because there is no way I can afford a ticket to world by my wallet..

Unfortunately, I believe this is true - not just for Malaysia but for any nation. I live in the US myself, and I am aware that the prizes for Nationals can only go to US citizens, even if the winner happens to be a Canadian citizen and not a US one. (Canada does have their own Nats, but still...)

It's a pity unfortunately (seeing as Indonesia is a big place and could easily support PTCG), but unfortunately that's how things are...

Actually according to this link, World Championship invitees from Malaysia are not eligible for their sponsored travel award, so even if you did win Malaysia Nationals, you would have to cough up the ticket yourself.

Yeah, you aren't allowed to play, I would have gone to Canadian Nats this weekend if I could play
