Golem-EX from XY-Generations' Megaton Fall attack is pretty boss, except for the fact that he does 60 damage to himself. This attack will most likely knock out the opponents Pokemon, but you can only use it three times before you knock yourself out. But if you use Dragonite-EX from XY-Evolutions' ability Pull Up, you can bring him back from the discard pile and use the attack three more times for the win. You could also use Maxie's Hidden Ball Trick from XY-Primal Clash.

How do you plan on powering up the four energies again before it gets knocked out a second time? Also, just about any attack from an opponent would reduce the amount of times you can use the attack from three to two.

That being said, it is a basic so Fighting Fury Belt would give an extra 40 HP.

I don't really think this would be good in a competitive deck, but could see success as a fun deck at league.

Not sure if you play expanded at all, but Protection Cube from Flashfire eliminates the self damage from attacks.

Question,

Why not just have 4 Golem-EXs in your deck? This way you could power up a second one while attacking with the first. I am sorry, but I just don't see a purpose for Dragonite-ex in this deck idea.

Having said the above I am not discounting Golem-EX completely, as I could see it working with Carbink Break to help power it up, but you would likely need 1 additional attacker and have Golem-EX as your 1HKO guy.

hello, carbink-break line is the best support for high-energy cost pokemon.
and golem-ex works best with protection cube, so building for expanded format will optimize golem-ex usage.

here's what i would build around if i had enough golem-ex:

4 Golem-EX
2 Carbink (Safeguard)
1 Carbink (Energy Keeper)
3 Carbink-BREAK
2 Fletchling (Warble)
2 Fletchinder (Peck Off)
3 Talonflame (Aero Blitz)
2 Talonflame-BREAK

1 Pokemon Fan Club
4 Korrina
2 Lysandre
2 Delinquent
3 Scorched Earth
2 Fighting Stadium
4 Protection Cube
2 Tool Scrapper
3 Ultra Ball

scorched earth is there for drawing cards, also good combo with carbink-break to recycle discarded basic energy.
fighting stadium for that extra damage boost, and delinquent if you're into trolling your opponent and forcing them to discard from hand.
and talonflame-break isn't necessary but there for coverage against grass types.

post here how you built your deck :)
