The time is here, when I post make a collection of mini articles for good cards at the prereleases. Although it's a bit too early(only a few english scans have been revealed), we can make a pretty good guess at what's in the set.*cougheverythingbesidesshayminandgiratinacough*
Remember, post why you think the card will be good in the limited format. And please, be reasonable. Not everyone gets a lv.x.
NOTE: These are your own opinions. Not other's. If you think something's gonna be good, then just post it.
Pokefan4000
Cherrim
Cherrim has a lot of potential in limited. Mainly for its poke-body, Sunny Day. Damage dealt to the defending pokemon by your fire and grass types are increased by 10. This can get you that little extra boost you need. Plus, it's stackable, so you can easily power up your attacks if you get more. Its first attack costs no energy and does 20 damage(without the sunny day boost) and you get to remove 2 damage counters from one of your pokemon. Quite good for an attack with no energy cost. Its last attack is solarbeam, which requires 3 energy(2 have to be grass) and deals 50 damage(without the boost). Not good, but not bad either. Cherrim is a good card in limited, and I can easily see it being played both in and out of the limited format(thanks to sunny day, of course)
Drifblim
I love this thing. For one, it has 2 attacks that require no energy, and they're pretty good. Its first attack costs no energy and you get 1 card from your discard pile back into your hand. Good if something you need is in there. Its next attack is where it shines in this format. It requires no energy, and you get to get 2 bsaics from your deck and put them on the bench. Then, you get to attach an energy from your deck to each of those pokemon. Although it depletes your deck fast, it's still a very good attack to set up, if you can get in drifblim early. Its last attack costs 2 energy(1 has to be psychic) and deals 40 damage. You then flip a coin. If heads, then the defending pokemon is confused and can't retreat during the next turn. Once again, a very good attack for this format. Your opponent will have to decide whether to attack and take a risk or just not attack, leaving them even more open. Drifblim is simply awesome in this format. Consider it if you pull one.
Salamence
This card is just awesome for this. It has high hp and good attacks. Its poke-body lets you ignore the colorless energy costs for salamence if your opponent has a pokemon in play with more than 120 maximum hp. Stage 2s are very good in this format, and most of them(if not, all of them) have at least 120 hp. Their own advantage will be turned against them! Its first attack costs 2 energy(1 has to be fire) and deals 50 damage. Pretty standard, but with its poke-body, it only requires 1 fire energy. 50 damage for one energy is just awesome. Its last attack costs 4 energy(1 has to be fire, 1 has to be water) and deals 120 damage. You then have to discard a fire and water energy attached to salamence. This is pretty awesome, especially if his poke-body is activated. Just slap on a fire energy next turn and start flaring, then attach a water energy and pretty much garuntee a kill. Salamence should be a feared pokemon in this format. If you get the pokemon required to use it, USE IT.
DawnOfXatu
Bibarel is the all around best card for limited. For two energies you can either stop them for attacking or do 60 damage. Coupled with the fact that this card can't be effected by any secondary effects removing all of the Sp. Conditions from the limited metagame.
Electrode is a close second. With the ability to Paralyze and spread this card is beastly.
Pupitar would be a good card to spam.
Normally in drafts all I do is spam (Gorebyss, Casty, ect.) Pupitar would be able to reduce by thirty and do 20-40 damage then if you have at least 1 T-Tar you could then evolve after a few turns and then KO almost everything.
zyflair
Drifiblem I think could work, but the other two aren't.
Roserade is a decent card, as it can deal massive damage for a Stage one. Steelix will last for a good deal while spreading everywhere.
Light
I agree with DawnOfXatu. Bibarel is a good card in the limited format because 60 usually KO's anything really fast plus it's a stage one. I remember when DP 1 came out and I played Seaking, 2 energy for 50 killed everything.
Abomasnow looks like it has potential. 20 to the bench if it isn't grass or water and can stall pretty good because it takes 20 less damage.
Piloswine or Mamoswine both have potential. I also like Miltank.
This will be updated when I or someome else posts a new mini article type thingamajigger.
