Good deck for a new player?

Hey, everyone, I've been trying to get my friends in to the Pokemon TCG. As such, I'd need a deck for them to play with. Normally I'd buy a theme deck, but I'm taking them to league to show them what other people do. One problem is it's no fun to lose and you can't learn if you lose right away or win right away. The other problem is that I have a limited selection of cards. I don't have 2 Luxray GL X, 4 Jumpluff, 2 DGX, etc. They don't mind using proxies, but I don't want 80% of the deck to be proxied. Last but not least, I will not give out their age, but one's younger than the other and doesn't play Pokemon as much so I don't know if that would matter. An upside is that it can be DP on since this is obviously non-competitive.

So what's a good deck that I can let them use under these circumstances?

Here's some cards I can use:

Most staples and some everyday techs
All of the good promo Xs
Gengar X and co. (Except for SF Gengar :/)
Magnezone X and co. (Except for DP Magnezone)
Lots of Giratinas including Let Loose and Strafe
Nidoqueens
Honchkrow SV
Some meta stuff
Some Scizrim stuff
Dusknoir X and co.

I have more, just throwing ideas.

dusky X is a pretty good idea, but its pretty hard to use. scizcrim would probably be the best. giratinas also a good choice, so those are the two Id recommend

gyarados SF deck is cheap and easy to run.

shuppet donk, speed machamp , jumpluff HG, beedrill, and kingdra are all pretty simple decks to run and play. Rampardos is easy but can be easily runied with trainer lock.

The cards you mentioned are either not really playable in this meta or are part of a more complex deck. e.g sablelock and gengar curse.

Some of those were complex techs. Such as Honchkrow SV. Because I didn't want people to say like "Oh, a good deck would be _____ but you need Honchkrow SV"

Anyway, thanks Minimidget and Tweed. I'll consider it.
