Does anyone know any good Generation 3 Pokemon that are viable for Generation 5 competitive play?

I would hope there are some.

If by Generation 3 you mean Hoenn, then yes there are a few. Here's a list of all of the Hoenn Pokemon in the OU tier (Ubers being the extremely strong Pokemon like Mewtwo and Dialga, OU being the more balanced but still very strong Pokemon):

Breloom
Jirachi
Latios
Latias
Metagross
Salamence

Not as many as other regions, but there are a few. There are also some from other regions that can be found in Hoenn. However, if you mean the VGC, then the useful Pokemon would be fairly different.

Swampert (UU I'm pretty sure), Blaziken (Dream World Ability, SpeedBoost, Uber, JP only, must trade for), Kyorge (Uber), Groudon (Uber), Breloom (OU), Slaking (NU but can hit like boss, just swap between hits), Registeel (UU), Rayquaza (Uber), Jirachi (OU), Deoxys (Varies beteeen formes), Slamence (OU), Metagross (OU, this pokemon knows the Meta!), Latios (OU), Latias (OU), Aggron (RU), Claydol (UU), Cradaunt (RU), Dusclops (UU, Evolves into Dusknoir, evolves from Duskull), Flygon (UU), Hariyama (RU), Medicham (??, gotta check smogon), Manectric (RU), Sharpedo (UU), Sableye (UU), Roselia (RU), Sceptile (RU) done.
Tier order (lowest to highest):
NU (NeverUsed)
RU (RarelyUsed)
BL2 (BorderLine 2)
UU (UnderUsed)
BL (BorderLine)
OU (OverUsed)
Uber (The highest, No restrictions)

Except you can't switch during the turn Truant makes you waste.

The only Hoenn Pokemon remotely useful in OU, but are ranked in a lower tier are Swampert, Deoxys-D(the only forme that's not Uber), Claydol, Dusclops, Sharpedo, and Sableye.

Oh, scrap Slaking then.

Actually, you can switch during the loafing around turn, just not if you used a recharge move such as Giga Impact or Hyper Beam. However, Slaking is still not very good because Protect counters it easily and it requires lots of prediction even if the opponent doesn't have Protect.
