Discussion Good Standard decks that have easy transition to Expanded?

looking to play an expanded tournament but only play standard format stuff. Thinking Drampa/Garb would be a solid choice. Hopefully it is anyways.

Don't Bering Garde to expanded. It's too slow and even though 230 is big, not super tanks either. Expanded is a rather fast format filled with decks like Turbo Dark, NM, and Mega Ray, that Garde just can't compete against. You can Bring it, of course, but I'd only recommended doing that if your SUPER experienced with the deck, know every matchup by HEART, and have the PERFECT list.

Could you link deck lists of the ones you mentioned? I'd like to build them :)

Thank you!

Golisopod-GX is a great deck to translation to Expanded, it gains Keldeo EX, Laserbank, and Seismetoad EX. I have a pretty good list if you want to see it.

I would love to see it bro!! Please post it here or PM me :)

Let me know if you have any questions about it :)

Golisopod-Garb decks immediately spring to mind.

Gardevoir GX...I’m on the fence with. I think it only did well in Fort Wayne regional was because of the surprise factor. I’m not sure it can do well against opponents who know how to combat it.
