BW/BW2 Good Tyranitar IV's?

Long story short, I'm breeding for a good IV Tyranitar, aswell as other Pokemon and I wondered how important it is to have 31's across the board?

So far I've hatched two Tyranitar, both have been female and wanted to know if they would be able to compete in the current meta.

First Tyranitar - Modest
25/12/31/31/31/6

Second Tyranitar - Naughty
31/3/11/31/31/31

Both are at Level 100 if it helps you work things out.

EDIT: Third Tyranitar - Brave
26/31/11/22/31/31

RE: Tyranitar IV's

Really it depends, 31 Across the board is the benefit, but you want 31 where it'd count (of course I'd recommend having 31 IVs in Sp. Def, HP and Def.), like if you're using Reuniclus you won't need the 31 Atk IVs, but generally I preffer having perfect 31 IVs

RE: Tyranitar IV's

The main problem I'm having is getting only 3 or 4 IV's, Which is good but those last 2 are really hampering. I had a Dragonite with 31/1/9/31/31/30 at one stage but that Att IV was way too low.

Any advice on how to improved the high IV success rate?

RE: Tyranitar IV's

Equip the power item on a stat you want to pass down.

RE: Tyranitar IV's

Why aren't you having Everstone help you try and get your preferred nature? Getting a strong nature is more important than getting strong IVs. Having spectacular IVs on a Pokemon with a nature that is completely counterproductive to your goal is a colossal waste.

RE: Tyranitar IV's

I completely forgot about those, thanks King Arceus.

To be honest I don't know which natures are good for what Pokemon, I'm not even sure what else natures do other than slightly modify the way stats grow. If you can shed any light I'd greatly appreciate it.

RE: Tyranitar IV's

That's exactly what natures do: +10% to one stat, -10% to another. Depending on how you want to train your Tyranitar (and what moveset you wish to give it), the nature you'll want will differ. Adamant is the most common, but there are other options - in fact, Tyranitar has a ton of them. Here's something to get dem creative juices flowing.

RE: Tyranitar IV's

If you want a better success rate, just get two perfect parents (you can download off of Pokecheck) so that your random passed down IVs (inherited IVs) are always perfect. For a Tyranitar that isn't for Trick Room you are better off getting 31/31/x/x/x/31 for an offensive Tyranitar and 31/x/x/x/31/31 or 31/x/31/x/x/31 for a defensive Tyranitar. Def and SpD aren't very important in VGC if they are 15 less than perfect, while Speed is vital in more circumstances. Plus HP is the factor that "increases" both defenses, because without high HP it won't be able to take as many hits (see: Shuckle). Good luck.

RE: Tyranitar IV's

So from this, I'd be better of breeding my Brave Tyranitar holding an Everstone with my Naughty Tyranitar holding the HP power item which will then give the egg a Brave nature with a guarentee'd 31 HP IV and maybe a 31 Att IV due to nature, meaning the other 4 natures will be one from parents and 3 randomly generated but hopefully high.

RE: Tyranitar IV's

But if you want an offensive Tyranitar, your chances of getting a high Attack stat aren't high because of the Attack IVs of the parents. If you gave us the kind of Tyranitar you want then we can help you out further with the IV aspect.

RE: Tyranitar IV's

Ok, then you want a specific IV spread. Try:

31/31/x/x/x/31 (or 0 for Trick Room)

Now all you have to do is attach the Everstone to the girl, Power Item of your choice (HP/Atk/Spe) to the boy, and get some results until you're satisfied. It may take a few tries to get a good Attack IV. Good luck.
