Good Xerneas BREAK partners?? (except Giratina-EX, M Gardevoir or Dragonite EX)

Moved from the Deck Garage to the TCG Competitive as the Deck Garage is for posting your full 60-card decklists for feedback. ~bbninjas

The new baby Ray could be interesting. It's the only Energy accelerating Pokemon I can think of that doesn't have typing issues, like Carbink BREAK, baby Yveltal, or Volcanion.

I've tried to pair Excadrill with Xerneas Break, but the problem I have is that I can go ahead and attach all of the energy to Excadrill (and it lets me attach special energy, not just basic, so you can attach 4 DCE to him with one attack), but then my Excadrill invariably gets KO'd on the next turn by my opponent because it's just a huge sitting duck there in the active position, and all that energy falls into the discard.

Solgaleo GX will probably be an excellent pairing when it comes out. Its GX attack allows you to search your deck for 5 energy cards and attach them however you like ... and that's ANY energy, not just basic, meaning you could attach 4 DCE and a DDE in one turn, which would allow Xerneas Break to hit for 240. That means you have to carry A LOT of energy though and you'll probably have to tech in Giratina or some other dragon to hold the DDE's. I had been thinking Mega Mewtwo when I first saw Solgaleo but Xerneas Break might actually be the better pairing.

Regirock (XY: Black Star Promos XY49) is a 110 HP Basic Pokémon with the "Ω Barrier" Ancient Trait, protecting it from the effects of your opponent's Trainers cards other than Tools and Stadium cards. While not foolproof, this enables it to more or less safely Bench sit and act as a storage area for Energy cards (Ω Barrier protects a cards Energy and Tools as well). Slap an Exp. Share onto it, open with a few uses of Geomancy via the original Xerneas (and some Max Elixir) to get going, and bam, you've got a deck.

I know as someone gave me a hard fought game with it on the PTCGO, though to be fair in Standard I've been struggling lately. ;)

The Regirock idea is my personal favorite, it also can combo worth with Ninja Boy (Go into a Xerneas, evolve into BREAK, the crowd goes wild). A couple things to add onto Regirock:

You can use Energy Switch to power up Xerneas BREAKs from your energy reserve

You can use Energy Keeper Carbink to help keep energy on Xerneas

Other things are Diancie-EX, Sylveon-EX, and possibly Xerneas-EX as partners, I only like Diancie and Sylveon (Kinda)

As far as an idea of a decklist here ya go:
