Alt. Format Goodra/Xerneas Deck

Hi, I'm building a deck that does not follow any rotation for play with friends. The deck isn't meant to be competitive, but work well and be consistent and win against other decks of similar strength. I don't have much experience or knowledge of useful cards that may have come before the current Standard format. I'm also not made of money so I will not be adding Shaymin EX.

Pokemon(18):
3
Goomy(58)
2 Sliggoo(59)
3 Goodra(74 - Gooey Regeneration)

2 Spritzee(67)
2 Aromatisse(93 - Fairy Transfer)

3 Xerneas(XY05)
2 Xerneas Break(82)

1 Tauros GX(100)

Trainer(31):
Items(17)

2 Trainers' Mail
1 Super Rod
4 Ultra Ball
4 VS Seeker
2 Fairy Garden
2 Float Stone
1 Special Charge
1 Superior Energy Retrieval
Supporter(14)

1 Colress
2 Wally
4 N
4 Professor Sycamore
1 Brigette
1 Lysandre
1 Lillie

Energy(11):
4
Rainbow Energy
5 Fairy Energy
2 Water Energy

Strategy: The idea behind this deck is to use Goodra to attack and sustain itself though Gooey Regeneration, to attack with Xerneas/Xerneas BREAK if I can't use Goodra, and Tauros GX to use as a generic beatstick. If I ever need to switch out, I included Float Stones and Fairy Garden. I plan to use Xerneas' Geomancy to gather Fairy Energy while Aromatisse's Fairy Transfer helps move energy. I believe I have enough energy recovery with Superior Energy Retrieval and Super Rod and consistency cards.

Lose the Rainbow and Water energies for Double Dragon energies. They provide 2 energy of all types when attached to a Dragon Pokemon. To clarify, your energy lineup should look like this: 7 Fairy, 4 Double Dragon.

You need 2 Field Blowers in this deck in order to remove opposing tools and stadiums. I'd recommend adding in the Guardians Rising Sliggoo because its Division attack lets you put more of them on the field without having to evolve from Goomy first. I'd max out on the Goomy and Sliggoo counts.

If you can, get Tapu Lele GX; it's used over Shaymin EX because it's a decent attacker and can get you the right supporter for the right job. That's only if you can.

Thank you. I looked up Double Dragon Energy and found nothing that clarified if the two energy it provided had to be the same which is why I did not include them. As for field blowers, I'm only using this deck with two other friends so I didn't think they were necessary, but if we all used Field Blowers then I'd most likely put them in. As for Tapu Lele GX, I actually bought 6 packs the other day with a Vikavolt Promo and pulled two Tapu Lele GX that I can share with my friend.

As for maxing out the Goodra evolution line, what do you suggest I take out? Maxed out, the deck is at a surplus of 4 cards.

Double Dragon energy counts as all energy types at once, but provides 2 at a time meaning that Goodra can use Heavy Whip with a Double Dragon energy and a basic energy. The thing about Dragon Pokemon in the TCG is that their energy costs are all over the place, forcing you to use multiple types of basic energy, which can possibly clog deck space under normal circumstances. With the release of Double Dragon energy, this is basically alleviated, letting you get away with running it (4 copies is ideal) in addition to one type of basic energy.

You can also tech in a Guardians Rising Goodra for sniping with its Power Whip attack. I'd start by removing the Trainers' Mails as they're easy food for Trashalanche Garbodor (in case one of your friends is following the meta really closely and is using it).

Thank you, this helps a lot.

OMG GOOMY
Besides that, I'd suggest using Guardians Rising Goodra instead, because you can punch their Active to the Bench, then whop the Pokémon sent to Bench using Power Whip, and Power Whip has almost built in damage if you power up with Xerneas' Geomancy.
Consider bringing in Rare Candy and Diancie (Burning Shadows) for extra speed evolving. Rare Candy skips stage 1s if you have the stage 2 in your hand. Only use 2 Rare candy, because you can just do more with Sliggoo's Division attack. Diancie evolves stuff, and if you Wally a Goomy into Sliggoo, then Diancie it into Goodra, that's a combo to be feared.
I understand the need for the Gooey Regeneration ability, but overall I consider the Guardians Rising Goodra to be better just because of the second attack. The second attack cripples opponents if they don't have the means to retreat. The dowsnide of the attack is your opponent chooses what to send Active.
If you don't take anything away from this, take this: Use the Guardians Rising Sliggoo because of its Division attack.
Hope this helps.
