So i was looking round the garage like usaual when i see a lot chandulrue(NV) decks. Now i wasn't a big fan but yesterday on playtcg i got creamed by a chandulre/vileplume deck. I've notice these prevent all babys on the bench. So heres my Chandlure deck ..

Pokemon-20
Chandulure 4-1-3
Gothitelle 3-1-3
Reuniclus 2-1-2

T/S/S- 32
4 collecter
3 communication
3 pont
2 twins
4 RC
2 super rod
2 junk arm
2 switch
3 cheren
2 PETM
3 rcky helmet
2 Juniper

Energy-8
Rescue 2
Pyshic 6

It's pretty obivious wat my strategy is here. Stop the oppisite team with Gothitille. Get Chandulure on the bench ASAP and start dishing 30 out, (even from the bench ! - not! thx Glaceon)
Reuinclus stops pokemon like Kyreum from attacking te bench.

So what do you think... Plz reply ASAP!

Chandelure only does 30 when its active, so if its on the bench it can't do damage.

Does that ruin the strategy? Or am I missing something?

Thanks for the compliment though = )

Do you want to use a Trainer lock variant (which would end up being a Vileplume variant)?

2 juniper to catcher

no not really i mean since chandulure is a psy pokemon i might aswell just lock them

So you'd want a 3-2-2 Vileplume line.

You would want a thicker Chandelure line too because otherwise it is harder to get out Chandelures under lock. The thing is you'd have to remove all trainers.

The other option is Chandelure and Dodrio, where using retreat and switch you can do up to 120 damage through Chandelure a turn. I would recommend this one because you don't have to set up 3 Stage 2s.

Which kind would you rather have, or do you just want me to fix your current deck.

no
i meant i didnt wanta change but now iv'e read it i can see why u thought that i ment since chandulure and gothille are the same typing i will take advantage

Ok then.

I would recommend having a higher twins line because with 3 Stage 2s, you'll not be taking prizes until mid game.

+2 Twins.

For what to take out, I don;t like Juniper in a deck that uses Stage 2s. There is a big chance that you'll end up discarding a potentially important card from your deck- not a good thing to do.

-2 Juniper

Is Rocky Helmet a major part of the deck? Or can it be narrowed?

Imo, dodrio is a staple in every chandelure build, no matter what variant, but especially trainer locks.

To add onto this, the reason is that is makes it so Chandelure has a free retreat allowing the user to use the ability multiple times a turn.
