Gothitelle (HGSS on) League/just for fun

Captain Oats

I'm worse than you at TCG.

Pokemon: 20
4-3-4 Gothitelle BW
2-2-2 Ampharos HGSS
3 Smeargle CoL

T/S/St: 21
3x Juniper
3x PONT
3x PETM
2x Judge
2x Collector
2x Dual Ball
3x Communication
3x Pk Catcher

Energy: 19
16x Psychic
3x Rainbow

Start with Smeargle to help set up Ampharos/Gothitelle early then use Ampharos to Acceleration Bolt psychics to Gothitelle for 3 energies laid down a turn, then start blowing them away with Gothitelle.

Needs a lot of work, I know, but it seems like it could be a fun deck. Any thoughts?

RE: Gothitelle (HGSS on)

Gothitelle is only in the japanese black and white set.
the english set only gets Reuniclus of the 2 stage 2 psychics, if that is what you mean

darn it.

RE: Gothitelle (HGSS on)

Don't use Amphy w/ Goth. It's just not good. If you want energy acceleration, use either jirachi (UL/COL)/mismagius (UL) or jirachi/shaymin (UL). This works by you discarding energy (junk arm, junipers, and other stuff can do that for you) then you use jirachi's power, get the energy on it, and move it to your attacker via mismagius/shaymin. Now, the downside of mismagius is that it's a stg. 1 and slower than shaymin, though you can run a 3-3 line w/ 2 UL mismagius w/ one from UD/COL as another attacker. I would personally go for jirachi/shaymin though mainly because of the speed. Drop the 2-2-2 amphy along with the 3 rainbow for this to fit.

(9 free spots)
+2 jirachi
+2 shaymin

Now, you're going to want ways to pick these guys up and reuse them, so run 2 seekers too.

+ 2 seekers (3 free spot)

Now that you have the energy excel, let's go to the pokemon line. Smeargle isn't the best starter in the format, due to lack of cards to let it retreat for free, dependency on your opponent, and it's a long tougher to recover in this format then in last. So make them 3 Cleffa (HGSS/COL). Cleffa is a free retreater, has 50% chance of invulnerability, and guarentees you a new hand of six cards. This can do a lot more for you than Smeargle can.

-3 Smeargle
+ 3 Cleffa
(3 spot)

As for your energy line, I think 16 may be a tad too much. Drop that down to about 14.

(5 free spots)

As for your trainer line now, you're going to be doing a lot of switching around. Turn a PONT into a Juniper's because you want to get some psychic in the discard early on to abuse the Jirachi Shaymin combo. Turn an elm's into a Communication (2 is enough). Turn bot dual balls into Collectors (overall better IMO). Turn your two judges into a pokemon catcher and a free spot. Now that you have 6 free spots, add in 4 rare candies, a junk arm, and a FLS (flower shop lady).

So right now, here is your list.

4-3-4 Gothitelle
2 Shaymin
2 Jirachi
3 Cleffa
Total: 18

T/S/S
4 Collector
4 Junipers
4 Catchers
4 Candies
4 Communications
2 Seekers
2 PONT
2 PETM
1 FSL
1 Junk Arm
Total: 28

Energy
14 Psychic

This list should give you a ton better results than your last one did and should be way faster. Happy trainer locking xD!!
Total: 14

RE: Gothitelle (HGSS on)

Thanks for the ideas, ashinto. I was debating Jirachi/mismagius, but I thought Ampharos would be more fun. I never considered Shaymin though, even though I have 6 or 7. However, since Gothitelle will not be a part of the English set, this deck will never see the light of day. It's a shame, because I think this deck would be a ton of fun to play!

RE: Gothitelle (HGSS on)

Amphy as I stated in my post is just a waste of time and space you can be using to set up a Gothitelle. And I think you have it wrong buddy. Gothitelle was just cut from the first BW set. It's going to be released with the other cards that were cut in the Summer set, so you'll be able to play this for fall BRs.

RE: Gothitelle (HGSS on)

My mistake, from the first commenter it sounded like it just wasn't going to be printed in English.

RE: Gothitelle (HGSS on) (needs division in thread title)

Ya, if I didn't have enough previous info, I would've thought the same thing. People should really specify/actually know what they are talkin' about when they post like that.
