Ruling Growth Trait - Question

Question: The growth trait where you can attach 2 energy cards from your hand. BUT can I attach one energy then play a supporter, which I get more energy, can I attach a second now? or do they need to come from my existing hand at that moment not later?

They both need to be attached at the same time.

If you've only got 1 Energy card in your hand and you attach it, you cannot attach a second one later.
