I just want to find a move to replace Hidden power poison..I play Pokemon Ruby so I can't get any tutors

I EV train Grumpig...but I didn't keep track... >_<

No, but did you use the standard 252/252/4 spread?

You obviously have no idea what EV training is then. It probably just some random numbers now and is competitively useless. As for the question, Shadow Ball is a great Special Attack, especially when you can get STAB. But Grumpig is not your best option.

Shadow Ball is physical in Generation 3 on account of being Ghost-type. So on a CM set, it's useless. (Oh yeah, and so is Hidden Power Poison.)

Why did none of you notice this?

As for a move suggestion? If you have someone with an Emerald version, teach the pig Fire, Ice, or Thunderpunch. If you don't...well, just remember to teach it something that isn't physical.
