OK, Gyrados(MT). Using Dradon DNA, even if you have no damage counters on Gyrados, does the attack do 30 damage? Same thing with Dragon Rage, if you get no heads, does it still do 30?

RE: Gyrados??

Dragon DNA/Flail: No. You can't add anything to 0. The damage calculation would be like this. 0x10=0+30=0. Same thing with Plus Power. You can't add damage to something that doesn't do any damage to begin with.

Dragon Rage: Same thing. If you flip two tales, the attack does nothing. You can't add to nothing.

RE: Gyrados??

Well I think you should add them because 0+30=30, not zero. Where did you learn to do your math, Mewstor?

RE: Gyrados??

Actually Mewstor, you are wrong. There has been a heated argument here, and it has been ruled (In the compendium too, I believe), that damage-less Gyarados dishes out 30 damage for a Flail.

And it is not in the compendium. Do your research.

And about my math. There is nothing wrong with it in this matter. Pokemon TCG has a rule that you can't add to nothing. Same goes for Plus Power, Strength Charm, Special Darkness Energy ect. If the attack does nothing to begin with, you can't add anything to it. That's how it goes in the Pokemon TCG game.

RE: Gyrados??

I said "I BELIEVE", don't call me on it.

It was by a judge here. As in, here, where I live.

RE: Gyrados??

Alright, I think I got my answer now. Mods please lock.

RE: Gyrados??

Dudes, read the rulebook. It clearly states that if at any point during calculation the damage becomes zero then that's it. Flail is not doing damage if it "does 0". Dragon DNA and similar effects that increase damage only increase damage, not an absence of it.
