Biweekly Haiku & Short-Poem Contest XII
Rules and Entry Information
1.) Post here saying that you want to enter and you’ll be accepted. The limit for entries is slated at fifteen contestants per round, and signups will end as soon as that number has been met, the deadline for entries has passed, or the thread sits for several days without any new entries (during which private submissions may be accepted via PM to me).
2.) Participation simply requires entrants to write a haiku (a poem with the alternating “Five-Seven-Five Syllables” per line format) or a similar length short poem and post it here as an entry, though submitting them via PM or Profile Message to me is fine too. Poems are due by Wednesday, January 25, 2012 around noon Central Time, and voting begins once the deadline has passed or all entries are made. All submissions are final, and writers will not be allowed to switch or edit their poems once they've been posted.
3.) Each poem for the contest must follow the selected theme for the competition. Due to artist’s having different interpretations of ideas, no haiku will be disqualified for writing about divergent topics so long as the theme is tied in somehow (if it isn’t, then you will be disqualified for the duration of this round). This contest’s theme is Writer’s Choice.
4.) Voting will run for three days and be open to all members of PokéBeach. Everyone will be allowed to vote for up to three of their favorites. All participants are required to vote; however, you are not allowed to vote for your own (if I catch you doing so, you’ll be docked a point).
