Biweekly Haiku & Short-Poem Contest XXIX
Rules and Entry Information
1.) Signups will again be based on the order in which submissions are made, meaning that all entries are to be made upfront (either here or via PM to me). The limit for entries is again set at fifteen participants. Once an entry is submitted, it cannot be swapped out for something else or altered in any way.
2.) Submissions are expected to be haiku-style short poems (those with a “five-seven-five” syllable format spread out across three lines). However, other types of short poems will be accepted so long as they don’t exceed four lines in length. New entries will be accepted until Wednesday, September 19th, 2012 around noon, until all slots have been filled, or the thread sits several days without new entries.
3.) Each poem for the contest must follow the selected theme for the competition. Due to artist’s having different interpretations of ideas, no haiku will be disqualified for writing about divergent topics so long as the theme is tied in somehow (if it isn’t, then you will be disqualified for the duration of this round); however, please note that poems posted with intent to troll or written up stupidly will be disqualified automatically. This contest’s theme is Changing of the Seasons.
4.) Voting will run for three days and be open to all members of PokéBeach. Everyone will be allowed to vote for up to three of their favorites. If more than eight entries are submitted, then participants may vote for their own poem. However, if less are entered, then they may not and a point will be deducted from the score of anyone who does so.
*Rules, timescales, and other parameters are subject to change without notice.

The Sun's raging heat
No longer bothers us all
As Autumn Returns.

Than the blending hues.

To the cool Autumn.

Spring and autumn in between
It's just the way things are

Until spring it sleeps.
++++++++++++++++++++
8.)It's called autumn (By [member]Teal[/member])
No sight of winter
summer slowly fades away.
A mess inbetween.
9.)The Last Leaf. (By [mod]Serperior[/mod])
It hangs by a twig,
The red's strength dwindles, then snap.
He falls, finally.
10.) Seasons (By [member]saurs'pokefan[/member])
When colored leaves fall,
a blizzard comes, gardens grow,
blazing heat warms us.
11.) Change (By [member]CJBlazerX87[/member])
Blistering hot sun
becomes a cooling autumn breeze
as the seasons go on
12.) Transitions and Cycles (By [Mod]Incinermyn[/mod])
Fiery winds of summer give way to the chilling breeze of fall.
Atop dying leaves, the snow piles high, burying them in an icy grave.
Plants sleep until spring, when their vernal grow can begin again.
In time lives wane, yet all things too begin anew…
