Has the art improved?

I just looked at the scans for shining darkness and I think that the art has improved recently. There are a few that are bad but in general I think there is a lot of good art. I really like the mew and I think some of the basic pokemon look really cute.

By the way, how come we don't discuss art that much anymore?
 
I don't know, I always liked the cards also for their art. I think that they are trying to make cards that look like the older ones, and they are doing this by recreating the old kind of pictures or by using old artists, like Ken Sugimori, that didn't draw a lot of cards for the Ex series.
 
I like the raikou and entei too. I can't wait to see the suicune as I think this one will be cool too. What happened to Tomokazu Komiya? I like having something to dislike too. I like the lvl X art quite a bit but I think it could have been better.
 
From just looking at the DP2 and DP3 art, I'm really looking forward to the next sets' artwork. The new versions of the Dialga and Palkia Lv. X look better than before. I've always liked Sumiyoshi Kizumi's artwork, and the Sableye from the set is awesome. I'd love to have a wallpaper version of that artwork. Another of my favorites is Mitsuhiro Arita, and the Kecleon is sweet looking as well. He did a lot of good cards in HP also.

I always liked the artwork actually, but I hope they're over the 'clay thing' once and for all. I really hate the Ekans d, while Ekans is a pretty cool Pokemon imo. =\
 
It's gone down a lot IMO.

Ugh...sad. It looked so much better before. But it is getting better than the awful DP set.

I like them all (I can't wait to see DP5 to see if it has the Eeveelutions in it)
