This could mean you've had a photo in a local or major newspaper, had a book published or something like that.

I've had 2 letters published in different magazines, one in Pokemon World detailing my trip to New York a couple of years agho, that was published early this year/late last year (I forgot.) and I was extremely recently in Neo Magazine Issue 78, I got the Star Letter!

For one edition of a newspaper, they did something called "Voices", which consisted of written work and other pieces of art done by students at the schools around the county. I was one of the top students in my school district with a short story I wrote for a club called "Power of the Pen".

I still have a newspaper that shows me and a couple other people doing the TCG. There was a major news story also. While my name specifically wasn't mentioned, I was part of the jury for a major case where millions of dollars were awarded to the plaintiffs.

A long time ago, when I was a baby, the local newspaper did a piece on local families, and they liked us because we had just moved in from Mexico, so, they did a piece on us. Our family portrait is on it. I'm so cute!

Also, a few years ago, I was playing a tournament at my local Gnome Games, and the guys there snaped a picture of me and others. Now, they use it on their signs. I think it's a bit embarrassing, but no complaints.

I've been in the newspaper a few times for educational achievements, I will be given a reference in the 5th book of the missing series, (Margaret Peterson Haddix, a friend of mine) and I think the state science fair was published somewhere. Hopefully more will come :p

I've had my photo published in a couple different newspapers when I was a kid for maintaining greater than average GPAs, winning local spelling bees, and a few other things I took part in (all school related stuff). Other than that, I've had a few short stories publishes in local writing journals (which included a short passage about my biography and, again, photos of me by them) when I was still in college. Regional/local things were pretty much all I've gotten into, though, nothing truly major.

A long long time ago, in a galaxy far- waaaaait, that's wrong.

I was in the local newspaper for a 2nd/3rd grade thing. They brought crocodiles and pythons and parrots and stuff. I had a picture and everything and I got to hold the baby croc while there was a parrot on a hat on my head. Mr. Croccy was kinda cute. :3

Eventually I look to be a really published author though >:T So we'll see.

Well, as my signature states, I'm going to Cross Country Nationals, and apparently the results will either be in the local paper (for where I'm running and where I live). But that will be in two weeks.

^^^Thats pretty cool to be referenced in a book. Maybe you should tell her to reference me in one of her books. :p

I was mentioned for holding a sign for a diabetes event that raised them millions o' bucks. I wore a cute little tux. Oh one more thing about that. It was in the New York Times PWN'd

Oh yeah, anybody know about Flight 93? Because me and my class were in a video (we sang a song) that is apparently going to/is shown in schools around the US.

@Boddy; Wait, there's a Gnome Games where you live? Thought there was only one :p.

Anyways, I'm not in the paper afaik.

I used to run my own Gaming Newsletter that had at least a staff of 20 people, and which I made quite a pretty penny off of. All I used was Microsoft publisher. :p
I had a lot of fun doing it, and I always gave reviews and such.

Yup. I was interviewed for a Pokemon article in the Newspaper just before a City event about 2 or 3 years ago.
I still have the Article somewhere in my room.

Several times. I almost I appear on a weekly base in the local newspaper for my sports achievements. I also participated the Dutch championships of swimming a few times, I was also be seen on the television.

I was once seen on television in a short clip dealing with the decrease of students studying Latin in the Netherlands.

And a few months ago for writing a classic Greek myth complete in dactyl (a rhythmic structure).

When i first started school, in prep, me and some other people in my class got there photo taken and put in a magazine, i don`t remember much about it though, because i was like 5 or 6.

When I was no older than ten or, and my sister was eight (we're sixteen months apart) we were on the front page of the Denver Post. At that time the Ku Klux Klan thing was a major thing in the news, and at some point they had gone into a Jewish cemetery where our grandfathers was buried and pushed over tombstones. Luckily our grandfathers tombstone was untouched, and there was a photographer at the cemetery who took a picture of the two of us standing beside his tombstone, where others had unfortunantly been pushed over.

That's my five minutes of fame unless you count a story being published in the fifth grade for our elementary school library, which in this instance I was not the only one to get a published story.

I was in the local newspaper when I got first place in my elementary school's annual spelling bee in fifth grade, which was pretty cool.

I've been interviewed in the school newspaper before, they wanted to know what I would say to a friend who was planning on dropping out.
A school club I am in (GSA, Gay-Straight Alliance) was in a local news paper for petitioning the school board to add sexual orientation to the nondiscriminatory policy at my high school. That was also on the news.
And I've been on the news for being at a childrens cancer fundraiser, and asked about water vs. soda another time on the news lol

My review of Transformers 2 was published in the local newspaper.

EDIT: Also got interviewed by the local NBC affiliate on a story about the cultural centers at the U of A. Got quoted on a couple internet stories for that. I was on TV :)
