What do you think of base-set cards being brought back as supporters?

have u ever noticed that they are taking base set cards, and making them into supporter cards with new names?

bill=mamas concern

pokemon trader=bebes research

what next?

this is ridiculous, u cud make a better card rather than reprinting a card already OLD.

what do u think??

Same thing with Rare Candy. That used to be Pokemon Breeder. Not that Rare Candy is a Supporter. =P

The reason is that those used to be really good cards, but they were too powerful to be available for such consistant use. I really can't see anyone actually using Mama's Concern with Team Galactic's Mars going around, though.

They ran out of ideas, and if they would reprint it, they would be Trainers...so they abuse them for new cards (as they ran out).

That's my theory.

They take the old cards and rename them and slightly alter what they do. That way it seems fresh but is still similar to the old stuff. It is not just trainers. Nidoran female in a recent set has the exact same attacks as one of the nidoran females in the very old sets.

Chansey being an almost exact copy of the base set one is not being mentioned?

I think it's great, the more supporters the merrier, and I don't see why they shouldn't re-use ideas if the original card is already way out of format.

Mama's concern is just a binder-card with no actually use, there are way too many supporters out there which allow you to draw AT LEAST 2 cards, and give you another great extra, like island Hermit.

Bebe's Search isn't an exact duplicate of Pokemon Trader. With Trader, you had to exchange a Pokemon from your hand for one in your deck; Bebe lets you exchange any card in your hand for a Pokemon in your deck.

Am I the only one who doesn't know what mama's concern is??? And you can't seriously expect to repring cards like computer search or energy removal.

I wish they would keep using the old cards... I also hate how every year they make the list of discarded sets for OP bigger. I would like to use the first set now.

I say most of the base set trainers were good. They should really consider bringing back Super Potion and a few others...

actually energy removal and gust of wind have been reprinted..not completely anyway..pokemon reversal and energy removal 2 needs coin flipping..you can say it's a light reprint..
if they exactly reprinted the old sets cards...i think it would really unbalance the game..=/

I love the Base set so I am glad they are bringing back similar cards and also some of the Pokemon have the same attacks but do more damage too.:)
 
They should reprint Defender, since they've already reprinted Pluspower. It would be a great addition to any deck.
 
Defender could make a Metal deck incredibly broken. I don't think it should be brought back.

Computer Search though...heheheh...
