Cloysters headlock

Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 more damage. If tails, your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Paralyzed.

Does flipping a tails mean 30 damage plus opponents pokemon being paralyzed, or just paralyzed. Thank you I'm sure this is basic knowledge but we are just learning how to play the game now.

Just paralyzed. It's a Heads or Tails attack. If it done both, it would tell you something like : If Tails, do 30 more damage and your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Paralyzed.
Good luck

MuddinJeremy was only half right. He didn't realize that the card has a base damage of 30+ the coin outcome.

So if you flip heads, the attack does 60 damage (plus any other modifiers like choice band, Kukui, etc). If you flip tails, you get paralysis and 30 damage (plus modifiers).

Gotcha , I figured that but had to make sure, thank you both for the input and thanks for the clarification.
