Help with a Scizor/Samurott idea

I hate playing decks that everyone else plays. I have played T-tar/Yanmega since before Regionals, and love it. I have seen this deck talked about, and I have put my spin on it. I have never been a good deck builder, so this just might be a pile or crap....

PLMK what you think, and if it could work:

Pokemon:22

3-2 Scizor Prime
3-2-2 Samurott ability
2-2 Yanmega
1 Cleffa
2-1-2 Klingklang ability

T-S- 25

3 Max Potion
3 Collector
3 Pont
3 Candies
3 Catcher
2 Junk Arm
2 Communication
2 PETM
2 Switch
2 Judge

Energies-13

4 Sp Metal
9 Metal

I would want to get either Scizor or Samurott up quick, and load with energies. Yanmega is for sniping if needed. Use KlingKlang to move the energies around from Scizor to Samurott, and Max potion after that to wipe damage from the bench.

Does this work? I considered Zoroark instead of Yanmega but Yanmega saves some energy usage.

Thanks

To start off, I think your Pokémon lines are too bulky in my opinion. The Klingklang has a small usage in here, but mostly will just end up as catcher bait I suppose. I'd rather suggest a Shaymin/Seeker combo for that sole role. But let's get more in detail, shall we?

Pokémon
Like earlier, your lines look way too big. If your focus is either Scizor or Samurott, limit your ''big lines'' to them. About 3-3/4-3/4-4 Scizor sounds good, as well as a minimum of 4-2-3 Samurott. Assuming we pick our 3-3 Scizor and combine it with a minimal line of 4-2-3 Samurott, we got ourselves a decent enough bulky line of 15 Pokémon, and we can expand from there.

Your main goal of the deck is to get either 3 energy on Samurott, or get X energy attached to Scizor (for deckbuilding purposes I'll assume all we use is Metal energy). With that in mind, we could use an energy accelerator. Skarmory UD/CoL fits that job well, and is essentially our prefered starter. If you'd rather have a more timid way if building up, I suggest Tornadus EP to help you there, as it smacks for 80 and moves a basic energy back to one of your benched Pokémon. I'd personally go for Skarmory, but see what fits your taste. One of Torandaus' other selling points is that it has 110HP on a basic, which is quite beefy when you ignore Zekrom and Reshiram's damage output.

With our 2 main attackers and our starter, it's time to throw in some support. While Scizor's weakness is covered by Samurott, Samurott still has no answers to Electric types... And to put even more weight in the insultment, some Electric types resist Metal types like Scizor. While this depends on your meta and personal taste, Donphan prime isn't such a bad addition. Scizor and Samurott can soak up the recoil Earthquake gives by Special Metal Energy and Samurott's abillity respectively, and Donphan is quite the powerhouse as well. The only liabillity Donphan brings with him is that he requires Fighting energy in order to work, or at least some rainbows. Despite him bringing in that minor problem, I personally think he'll be worth it to include for certain matchups. And with the exception of opposing Samurott and the odd Kingdra, Donphan really isn't afraid of anything in the entire current card pool we have (though Magnezone prime could waste some resources to get rid of it as well).

Trainers
I suggest maxing out draw and refresh cards, as well as searching cards like Communication. On that note, I'd ''sacrifice'' a Skarmory to abuse a semi-Twins engine to speed thing up a lot for your deck. Scizor and Samurott does require some resources to set up, but once it hits the field it usually does it's thing well, and gives you enough time to build up more, or different, things. Therefore only minimal recovery is needed, but even more building up cards are desired. Quick draw, fast playing trainers are the way to go with this type of deck.

Energy
Your energy line up looks good, I'd only try to find room for 2/3-ish Rescue Energy, as they can be real life savers. If you decide to include Donphan, I suggest some Rainbow Energy as well, but no more than 3. Otherwise stick with 4 Special, and X amount of basic Metal energy and you should be good...!

Drop: (13)
- 2-2 Yanmega
- 1 Cleffa
- 2-1-2 Klingklang
- 2 Judge
- 4 Metal Energy

Add:
+ 1 Oshawott
+ 1 Samurott
+ 3 Skarmory UD/CoL
+ 2-2 Donphan
+ 2 Rescue Energy
+ 2 Rainbow Energy

Thank you James...

Thaat was over and above the call for a response.

A couple of questions....

with your decklist, will this deck be competitive, or get blown out regularly? As I said in my OP, I like to play things different then everyone else, but not at the cost of getting killed every match

I have Donphans on route. Untill they get here, what would be the best to take their place?

Again...

Thank you!
