Strategy:

So basically want to show a deck profile of a deck I made, and discuss some ideas and would like some input on the choices and even improvements to the list. The list is very similar to few well known MRay players but it is something I did end up coming upto when I built it from scratch.

So Hexray has a bad matchup against Toad/Tina and NightMarch in Expanded, MManetric/Wobbuffet.
But i feel Cobalion EX is such a good Toad/Tina Counter and actually surprised why it's not teched over Virizion EX. The ability to directly deal with Toad and Tina and remove item lock I think is better than not taking laser damage at all and potentially relying on your draws and what you have set up already.

Choosing Cobalion EX over Jirachi Promo, is mainly because Cobalion EX is searchable with Hoopa EX.
Also it is useful as it can set up 30 damage for 150 Emerald Break without Skyfield.

But now I come to think of it (Whilst typing this up) Jirachi Promo self protection is really good and the ability to not be head ringered is great, and combined with Virizion EX is even better so do you guys think this is worth an extra slot on the Virizion variants.

Toad is my wild card attempt to improve my NightMarch matchup. It is a nice surprise in a Best of 1 game series. If you can bait your opponent to ko a MRay with a Joltik for weakness and with the hope they don't go all out and not have more than 7 Night Marchers in discard because they don't need to since they're hitting for weakness. And then you get the explosive turn to newly bench a Toad EX and counter stadium etc and then play a Hex Maniac/Ghetsis/N before you get the KO you can win purely on surprise. I found it has worked for me the few times i had the chance on TCGO.

Now Wobbuffet start is the worst. So know I am considering running 2nd Lysandre over the 2nd Hex Maniac. But is MManetric seeing much play in Expanded for me to change this? We know how devastating Hex Maniac is, but maybe to have the set up in the back of our hand is more important.

Do you guys think Mray is being slept on, seeing how it can beat the Top 3-4 decks, Vespiquen/Flareon, Toad/Bats, Archtoise, Yveltal. Or the new trending decks like Sableye/Garbs and the Parallel city techs much too of a threat?

I would drop a spirit link, the Seismitoad-EX, and Unknown, as well as a Battle Compressor. To help with its bad matchups, I would add a 1-1 Altaria (Ancient Trait, from ROS) line to get rid of colorless weakness. As for Toad/Tina, as long as you can have a big first turn and get a Hex Maniac or two out, I don't see it being a huge problem. I would also try to find space for a couple more supporter based draw cards, just in case you get hit by Seismitoad-EX or Vileplume AOR. Have you tried using Bronzong? I find them to be better than Mega Turbo, since those can only be used once a game, while as long as you have a Bronzong out, and not under Hex Maniac, you can use it every turn (really good if you're going against a disruption deck involving hammers/team flare grunt). This deck is also very weak to decks that run Pokemon with the Safeguard ability, so I would also find space for a Heatran. A couple more basic energy would be nice, as it would be terrible if more than 1 gets prized.

Just realized I didn't answer your questions at the end!

-I personally haven't seen much M Manectric play in expanded, but that doesn't mean it's not out there.
-For Parallel City, as long as you can get out a Sky Field ASAP the match up isn't terrible (saying this because I haven't seen decks run more than 2). Also Sacred Ash and Exeggcute are really good at recovering from it (maybe i should find space for a sacred ash in my own list...).
-If you're having a problem with Wobbuffet, the second Lysandre is a good idea.

What i said summarized:

- 1 Seismitoad-EX (FFI)
-1 Unknown (AOR) (you want things on your bench, so getting rid of something on it isn't the best)
-1 Battle Compressor (PHF)
-1 Rayquaza Spirit Link (ROS)
-3 Mega Turbo (ROS)
-1 Ghetsis (I understand why it's here, I just believe adding a different, more consistent draw support is better.)

+1 Swablu (ROS)
+1 Altaria (ROS)
+ 2 Bronzor (PHF)
+ 2 Bronzong (PHF)
+1 Heatran (PHF)
+1 Colress or Professor Sycamore/Juniper

Hope this helps, and if anything doesn't make sense, I can try and clarify. Other than the above suggestions, I think it's a pretty good list!

I forgot to add this! Heatran also helps deal with things like Regice from AOR! That can be an annoying card for this deck.
