HGSS Fakes...?

So the other day I went to Toys-R-Us and bought a starter deck and a few boosters of the new HGSS set. When I opened them I found that the colourless energy symbol's stars on the inside were a lot bigger than normal. I've read up on fakes and this apparently is one sign.
However, this is a completely new series of sets, so I want to know if the cards are supposed to be like this or not.

Are they? Both the cards in the packs and the cards in the starter deck had the star problem.

The stars on the colorless actually are a bit larger in HGSS, so I'm pretty sure those aren't fake.

OK that's great then, I just need a some more confirmation from some other people just in case there's a lot of fakes going around.

Nah, those aren't fake. The colorless symbols are a considerable amount larger on HG/SS cards than on previous sets. They take up most of the circle.

They did that in order to stop China or other Asian countries making fakes.
I know that UDE (the ppl who used to make YGO cards) went behind Konami's back & made fakes in China....but that's a very very long story.

Yeah when I first saw the cards I was like are these fake? But they aren't then after a while you get used to them in how bad they look and how cheap the quallity is.

I doubt if they are fake. At first glance at those cards I also thought that they were fake, but then I looked it up and found out that they are just like that.

Well that makes it even harder to spot fakes now.
