I already got a Ho-oh deck, but it isn't this build. This is just a future tweaked version of what I want to put together, but I want some opinions to help the process further. Now for some explanations. We all know what Ho-oh decks are all about. They all use Rebirth as an acceleration for energy, Energy Switches are for spreading it around, and there are a plethora of attackers to do different things.
Terrakion (NV):
This is the usual card that can go toe to toe with Darkrai EX or any dark type for that matter. Retaliate is a great surprise tactic and Land Crush is solid damage for the energy cost.
Bouffalant (DRX):
The usually good Pokemon that can duke it out with all EXs. I say this is standard.
Suicune:
This is what I'm replacing with Sigilyph. They are the same cards on the ability, but Suicune has more HP than the latter, and the attack I like more because it isn't based on any variable you can't control. A bangle will 2 shot any EX in the format as well with relative safety, except for a G Booster Genesect EX, but at that point the weakness to Grass won't matter.
Latias EX:
Now this is a new one for me entirely, but it has a place. I've noticed the sudden spike in Empoleon decks everywhere, and Latias EX is my answer to this nuisance of a deck lol. Empoleon has an ability in Diving Draw, and Dusknoir has Sinister Hands (but who attacks with that?), so Latias EX should sit at the active spot just fine with no threats on that end. Also the attack can 2 shot those penguins reliably if you can get it going. Its a stall wall first however.
Cobalion EX:
This is for the Plasma matchup. I say this one is better because you are guaranteed a Special Energy discard, and that is huge against Plasma. I've done some numbers, and from Cobalion (NV) doing Energy Press on Kyurem will be the only way to 1 shot that monster, otherwise it will be just so close to getting there. Cobalion EX hits weakness and disrupts their tactics, which is why I'm using this.
Are there any things I can do to make this deck possibly run better? I just need some help in that regard. Thanks for the read!
