The deck doesn't need more than 2 Kiawe and Ranger is bad. Cut 1 Kiawe and the Ranger for 2 Elixir. 2 is completely ineffective and 4 maximizes your odds of drawing into them.

The way standard is right now, Volcanion-EX doesn't do a whole lot to help the deck. 1 is nice to hit higher numbers, but I would suggest cutting 1 for a Choice Band, that way you can still OHKO Zoroark, Buzzwole, Ultra Necrozma, etc. Being forced to discard a fire energy for the same effect as well as having a Volcanion taking a bench spot kinda sucks. It also might be worth making room for a baby Volcanion for the acceleration and having the Safeguard killing option, but I couldn't tell you what to drop, since the rest of the list looks solid after changes.

Cheers for the tips dude, trying these changes online now and i'll see how it goes!

2-1 line for salazzle because it is a late game attacker so it doesn't matter if it's prized (you're going to get it anyway)

That's not entirely true. You usually want Salazzle in play when you have 3 prizes left, since it can hit for 180 with Choice Band. Your only copy could either still be prized or discarded.
Oh yeah, I just realized you have no N. N is pretty important so you don't let your opponent build their hand enough to always have answers to your attackers. 3 Cynthia should be plenty, but you'll have to find another card to drop if you want 2, which I do recommend. You should also update the list if you made any changes.

Changed the following
Volcanion EX -1
Volcanion +1

Cynthia -1
Kiawe -1
N +2

Ranger -1
Choice Band +1

now to figure out what 2 to take out for the 2 elixir... I play on saturday so i can put the changes to the test then!

I like the thought but I agree with Gumball, around 3 prizes is when i'd like Salazzle to be stacked and ready so 2 is perfect,

just figuring out what 2 to take out to fit in 2 more elixir

If all else fails, you could drop a Turtonator and a Float Stone. Or drop 1 Turtonator and just play 3 Elixir. 3 Float Stone is good, but you should playtest for yourself whether you'd have it or the 4th Elixir. Unless there's another card you'd want to drop.
1 Turtonator should work fine, since most of the time, you'll use it to GX, and maybe attack once with Bright Flame. Do remember you have Super Rod, so 1 might be the best number.

Play-tested last night with the changes from before against my friends Garchomp/Lucario GX deck,

the deck is way more fluid due to the addition of N and an extra choice band but I didn't hit 1 elixir all night despite trying 4 times! (in turn 2 or 3)

Salazzle is a mean machine when i'm down to 3 prize cards as you suggested so i won't be seeking it with ultra ball until i get to that point from now on.

I added a 3rd elixir and took out super rod, not sure if that's a good idea yet but it worked fine in testing... just got to wait till i face that ultra necrozma/malamar deck my friend will be running on the weekend :'(

Good to know most of my suggestions are working out. Are you iffy about dropping a Turtonator for the 4th Elixir?
