Ruling holon circle + punch n' run?

if there's a holon circle in play and my politoed ex uses ' punch n' run' , would my poli goes to bench?

No, the attack fails completely.

Whicker is right.

The damage isnt simply ignored, the entire attack is. So all effects of the attack do not go through. Which means as soon as you announced to use Punch and Run, Holon Circle would be discarded and the entire Punch and Run attack would fail.
