this thread is following the thinking of posts of many people
holon wp prevents effects right?
so what happened today was that me and a friend were playing and i had kirlia pk as an active pokemon
so i saw: «wait a second, dream eater does 50 damage, the "must be asleep" thing is an effect so it would always do damage to a pokemon preventing effects, in this case using holon wp»
answer me please
 
A check as part of damage calculation is not an effect. If the Defending Pokemon is not asleep, the attack does nothing -- with or without Holon WP.
