Ruling Houndoom can use both effects discarding multi!!!!!!

Does discarding a multienergy provides the 2 effects of houndoom second attack? i´ve heard it so many times i´m starting to believe it.....

You'd better believe it. Maybe that's the reason that all Houndoom players play it, don'tcha think?

Anyway, here's some proof from the Compendium.
Black Fire (Houndoom - Great Encounters)
Q. When using Houndoom's "Black Fire" attack, what happens if I discard an Energy card that provides multiple types of Energy at the same time?
A. If the Energy card you discarded provides all types (for example, Rainbow Energy), then both effects would trigger - the "Black Fire" attack would to 70 damage AND apply the Burned Special Condition to the Defending Pokemon. (DP:Great Encounters FAQ; Feb 21, 2008 PUI Rules Team)

Q. Houndoom's "Black Fire" attack says 'Discard a fire energy or a Dark Energy attached to Houndoom'. Can I discard a DRE, Holon's Castform, Scramble Energy, etc. that provides more than one energy unit?

It's the first line that we're talking about now.
Feel free to argue (with anyone but me) about the wording on the example Rainbow, but I can tell you it's exactly the same as the wording on Multi.

No, it most certainly isn't. With all the people being annoying about the rules they obviously don't know, any Houndoom player will be driven to insanity in a week after building the deck.

hahah yeah you can say that again I just dont even bother anymore. I actually printed that FAAQ thing out for people to read while i did it and they still didnt believe me.

^Exactly. Also the reason why cards that do more than just some simple numbers are way too hard to play in the current metagame.
 
Thats why i changed the name of the thread, so at least any person who visit the forums can know this, i will never surrender, 70+burn!!!!
