Ruling Houndoom Unseen Forces

There has been a certain thing that has been bothering me and i checked the con place and couldn't find it:

Is your opponent allowed to play fossils to the bench if you have the Unseen Forces Houndoom with Lonesome in play?

no when fossils are form yopur hand they count as trainer so lonesome wouldnt allowed that to happen. I 90% sure about that. Maybe other know.

I have been leaning on that side to but I'm not really quite sure because i quote from the fossil

"Play Claw Fossil as if it were a Basic Pokemon."

== BLOCK DUST (Vileplume Ex - EX:Hidden Legends)

Q. If Vileplume ex is placed active and there are Fossils on a player's bench, what happens to those fossils?
A. They stay where they are... Block Dust only affects non-supporter trainers being played from the hand. (Jul 7, 2005 PUI Rules Team)
This quote from the Compendium does kind of suggest that you can't, but if you can't find something in the Compendium, the next place to go is the Ask the Masters forum on Pokegym, and run a search.

Houndoom stops you from playing fossils.

At all times when you play fossils (i.e. in your deck, hand or discard pile), they ALWAYS count as trainer cards. While in play, as in on the bench/active, they count as trainer cards AND basic pokemon at the same time. Anything that stops trainers being played automatically stops fossils.
