Ok, I know when it is when of those fake cards that are falling apart because it is made out of tissue paper, but when they use real TCG material, how can you tell a fake from a real one? Pictures welcome.

Just see the retreat cost/colorless Energy symbols, they are a bit more "bigger" and blurry. On the back, on top of the Pokeball, the fake usually has a blue smudge.

On the old cards, the HP used to be smaller or not bold, so it was a dead give away. I even saw a card that had the Pokéball on the back upside-down.

This site (made by a top eBay Pokemon card seller) is really detailed and includes pictures. I suggest looking here: http://www.professor-oak.com/counterfeit/

My card isn't like those (I can they those Pika's arpart, but had never thought of looking of the pack) it lookes like a normal Alakazam MT, but my friend was looking through my deck and said that's fake. He pointed at the edges and said it was obvious, but I obviously didn't think so. I just went and looked at the card (can't post pics) and it looks normal...

Just because the yellow border is a bit thicker than usual doesn't mean its fake. I have some cards like that, and rest asurred, they're real.
