You don't have to do damage, you just do what the trait says. You enter your attack phase, pick an attack, use it, and then pick a second attack and use that one also. Then your turn ends.
Sounds like you're being thrown off by the "if you knock out the opponent's pokemon" part of the text. All omega barrage traits have that text - obviously that part won't come up with bunnelby.

Sometimes the "reminder" text ends up causing more confusion than it prevents.
Bunnelby doesn't do damage so unless there's a combo I am forgetting, you'll always just be attacking twice against the same Active. The clause that makes no sense is standard text for Ω Barrage and matters for the attackers that can do damage (in which case should the first attack cause a KO, the opponent does promote a new Active before the second attack happens).
It is not like the effects in some other TCGs where the attacker gets a second attack if the first KOs/destroys/etc. the original target.
