DPPt/HGSS How do I change Shaymin's Forme?

This may come out as kind of weird, but I'm trying to get Shaymin to change from land form to sky form in Platinum with the Gracidiea flower. Shaymin is not frozen and I'm doing it between 5AM and 8PM but it's not working :headbang What am I doing wrong here?

The way you do it is you have Shaymin in your party and go to the Gracidea Flower in your bad. Select use, it'll say use on what Pokemon and you use it on Shaymin. Also, I believe it has to be the event Shaymin, if its hacked (the OT should be TRU if it is not hacked) it won't work.

It needs to be the Shaymin caught in Platinum or one received at a special event (if there was one).

So the one acquired from Flower Paradise doesn't work then. Odd, I thought that was an acceptable Shaymin for it.

The one from Flower Paradise (Platinum-onward) DOES work. I'm not sure what you're doing that's wrong.

It'll stay in Sky Form as long as it isn't frozen, it doesn't turn to nighttime, and you don't deposit it. But you can always change it back later. (Key Items -> Gracidea -> Use -> Shaymin.)

That's what I've been doing and it's not working. I don't get it either. It always says it won't have any effect.

Could you try explaining exactly what you're doing in getting these results? It might help to find the source of the problem.

To use your formula from a couple of posts ago:

Key Items -> Gracidea -> Use -> Shaymin -> It won't have any effect.

That's on the Shaymin from Flower Paradise. I did try this on a Shaymin that has Tru has the original trainer and this one turned into Sky Shaymin (Skymin) without a problem.

Don't remember for sure as I have both versions of the game but it was probably Pearl. Of course Shaymin was transferred to Platinum in order for me to try and change it to Sky Forme.

This is probably your issue. The Flower Paradise Shaymin in Diamond and Pearl was never legitimately released. Using the Action Replay code to unlock Flower Paradise doesn't work either. Yes, it was programmed into the game but it doesn't trigger a Gracidea.

To trigger a Gracidea, the Shaymin actually needs to be met in a fateful encounter. The D/P Flower Paradise Shaymin doesn't have that anywhere on its status screen.

I guess it's possible but It's hard to say. I did say I THOUGHT that was where Shaymin was caught at. It's very possible that I'm wrong I just assumed it was Pearl because that was the cartridge Shaymin is currently on and prior to it's been over a years since I've touched the D/P/P games.

You can only change Shaymin to Sky Form in Platinum, so if its currently in Pearl that's why it won't work...anyway, you can check where you caught it under summary.

Gracidea doesn't even exist in Pearl, so that bit is a moot point.

If it doesn't work, it's either to old a shaymin, or it's hacked.

I have been able to do this on any of my Shaymin's event or not. You just need a Shaymin on your team be tween 4 AM and 8 PM . Does not matter where you are but it has to be between those hours anywhere. If you are on vacation the times in your DS will be a little different unless you change the clock for the timezone you are in. Note: Doing this will reset your daily events for 24 hours or more if you change the clock.:)

Oh yeah he is right I forgot because it has been awhile since I did the event. The best thing to do is trade with someone if you can't do the event yourself XD.:)
