Ruling How do I find that Poke card?

Just click it's name.

Lets use Shining Vaporeon/Vaporeon * for this.
Vaporeon *.
All you need to do is to click on it's link to get the card that your wanting to view.

I think my question was not very clear, let me re-phrase it...

If someone writes "Smeargle", not "Smeargle SW", how do I find the card scan at http://www.pokebeach.com/scans/?

You go to the set name (IE: EX: Power Keepers) then find the card that your looking for (IE: Vaporeon *), then click it's name & vola you found what your looking for.
Some of the scans haven't been up-dated, so try useing eBay or a search engine to find what your looking for.

if they only say Smeargle, you have to guess the set, if they dont specify it. Or you could click on the modified carddex and an alphabetical list comes up

Thanks DFB, I will try to narrow down my search with the carddex. ...
... to LV, I don't think you have understood yet that at the heart of the question is the idea that I won't know the set name if someone only writes the name of the Pokemon ... but thanks anyway for your enthusiasm!

Hey Munchlaxx it seems your frustrated.....I get your question ! and I ask it often myself.... What I do is go to http://www.pokepedia.net it has a filter system that helps with card search and deck building it's awesome !!!! and kind of like the pokebeach modified list thing.....if your really unsure you can post and ask the person "what set is that from my homedawg ? "

p.s. he means

"here is my deck list"

blah (4)
blahh (3)
blahh (2)

Charmander (2) * there are more than 1 charmander in various sets which one does he mean ?

Thanks green_monkey. That search engine works well and shows all of the alternatives very fast. I can now narrow down my search to only the sets that include that particular Pokemon name and I will know which # it is in the set ... however I still can't see the card graphic until I go back to PokeBeach and check look each one up manually.

In the end learning about Pokemon cards would be a whole lot easier if PokeBeach users we're in the habit of putting the set initials after the Pokemon name ... that's my pet peeve. Someday I hope that we can add a feature to the forums which will make it more appealing for users to add the set initials ... but that is for another thread.
