DPPt/HGSS How do I properly EV Train Pokemon?

I'm about to EV train a Weezing. But I want to do it the proper way.


This is the future plan
Offensive Weezing
~ Sludge Bomb
~ Flamethrower / Fire Blast
~ Haze
~ Explosion
I want to put EVs in HP,DEF and ATK
I know where to EV train but...Other stuff like
How to keep track?
What time do I give it vitamins?
stuff like that...

Does EV training its pre-evolution Koffing work..Does its Stats get better when it evolves?
I want to know everything about EV training.

How to keep track? There's no real concrete way to keep track. You could use tally marks, you could use a plain text file, altering the number shown by each amount of EVs gained (e.g., if I had 10 EVs on my Pokemon, I would put "10". If I gain 10 EVs, I would erase that and put "20"), whatever you want.

What time do I give it vitamins? The very beginning of it all. That's going to give you maximum effect.

Does EV training its pre-evolution Koffing work..Yes.

Does its Stats get better when it evolves? Yes, but that's simply because it evolved, it doesn't have to do with EVs.
I want to know everything about EV training.
