How do Regionals Work?

Hello!
Regionals are starting soon, and I will be attending my first one. I was just wondering How exactly do they work? I know that you have to win 2 out of 3 games to win a round, but how are prizes distributed? Does Top 8 happen on a separate day? Do you still receive a bye in the first two rounds of nationals if you win? And, do you still get a 3DS for winning? Thanks

as usual, you should check the details specific to your tournament / regional as each one will not be exactly the same.
but typically. you will play all day saturday. the numbers of rounds will be dependent on the total number of players.
each round is best 2 out 3. Top cut/ top 8 usually plays on Day 2.
I haven't checked the rules for this season, but I'm pretty sure a regional win will not get you any bye in nationals.
usually the byes in nationals are based on the rankings of ALL players up til Nationals.
Prizes are usually packs/booster boxes. how far down it goes depends on the tourney. but the Arizona regionals went pretty far down on prizes. I don't remember seeing 3DS as a prize in TCG for many years.
hope this helps.

and. double check your cards vs. standard or expanded.
and depending on standard or expanded, the deck builds could be very different.
