Oh my goodness! I went to Gamestop today, and i thought that It would cost at least $60.00 USD. I looked at the preorder display box, ad it's $34.99! I am soooooo happy now :D That is such a great deal on a game that's 3D! Love it, and can't waitttttttt!

It's not for 3DS, but the actual game is illusionary 3D. Like the 3D effects in HG and SS and also in Pt. This game gives the effect, because you can look in front of you, and see things that you haven't been able to see in Pokemon games before. You know how like in HeartGold when you got on top of the Bell Tower the screen slanted so it was more llife-like? It will be like that mostly through the whole game :D
 
i thought it was gonna be 39.99 but i was surprised when it was 34.99. why would it be 60 dollars. no ds game is that much...not even HGSS with the pokewalker

Hooray $34.99 even in Canada. I don't know if I'm remembering correctly but when Emerald came out in Canada I think it was like $49.99. Eeesh!

Much Pokemon games costs same here in my Country. 47€. But HGSS costed 57 :\! Thats robbery! *sigh*. So I guess I can expect White to be 47€ *woots*
 
^psh emerald used is still 29.99 here. i guess it was one of the best pokemon games to date.

Since DS games are manufactured by mostly the same people, the MSRP of essentially all DS games (at least at launch) should always stay at $35, since electronics retailers are in too much boiling competition these days to change prices, especially on lucrative video games unless there's like some insane hyper-inflation in the developed world in the next two months :p. I don't think it should come as a surprise for Black and White, though HGSS of course went up to $40 because of the added hardware – no matter how much software you can pack into a game card (unless you increase its memory size), only the hardware's gonna increase the price because you need more material to manufacture it. …Though on Amazon I've seen the Pokéwalker being sold for $15, so I guess you save ten bucks buy getting it straight from HGSS.
 
^ i remember seeing before the official release date or anything that it was gonna be 40 dollars. i think it was the stock case for the game at gamestop but idk. its kind of the standard for a DS game to be 34.99 when new at the most unless yes they have somthing extra...and even then its not over 34.99. although...for 3DS games i can see them going to 39.99 because of the updated things and 3d software.

LOL. Didn't think this thread would get this many replies. I thought I was a thread killer :'( I heard on a website that it would be $60.00 USD. I'm happy that it isn't though, because that would be a rip offfffff! I with you; I would stop playing if my DS game costed $60.00 :p

That website needs to be shut down for spreading bull. No DS game to my knowledge is $60 nor ever will be (I'm not counting 3DS).

The games are €40,- here, which equals 55 USD. That makes me a sad panda.
